Hey, it’s Sabira,
So I’ve been getting a lot of requests lately to write about my everyday makeup routine. I actually like to just keep my everyday makeup really natural, especially as I’m usually pressed for time as a busy mum on the go!
But whether I’m going for a natural or glam makeup look, I believe that it’s so paramount to invest in the absolute best products around for you and your skin.
This is why from the age of 17, I developed and religiously followed my foolproof research process for discovering and investing in market leading products only. In other words, products that are well known for their effectiveness, longevity and are backed with an army of cult followers and ample reviews.
As a result of this process, I’ve now found my trusted favourite makeup products for everyday use which I continue to go back to again and again (because they really are that good and live up to their reputation)!
My natural everyday makeup routine literally takes less than 5 minutes and makes me look and feel alive, fresh and ready to seize the day ahead!
1. Tinted Moisturiser
Nars – Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser
This is literally the best tinted moisturiser ever for everyday use. In fact, the coverage ended up being a lot better than I anticipated (I’d say it’s definitely more towards the light to medium coverage side than sheer). It also has SPF 30+ which is a bonus!
This cult favourite tinted moisturiser is also oil-free and infused with naturally derived botanicals to keep your skin hydrated and looking radiant all day long.
I must note though that even though this is a tinted moisturiser, I still don’t skip on my regular moisturiser (currently using the Neutrogena – Water Gel which I LOVE!) before applying this, just to lock in some extra hydration to keep my skin supple all day.

Maybelline – Eraser Eye Concealer
I love using this creamy concealer under my eyes (I usually go one shade lighter for under eye concealing just for a brighter and lifted illusion and then dot and dab over any noticeable imperfections using my exact shade).
This concealer has been awarded with our Haul of Fame Gold Seal of Approval due to its leading position in the market as well as its effectiveness in covering dark circles and blemishes. It’s also infused with goji berry extract and haloxyl which help to reduce the appearance of dark circles, fine lines and blemishes over time. It’s just an absolute winner especially given its extremely inexpensive price tag.

Maybelline – Lash Sensational Mascara
When this mascara is a firm favourite and go-to of Meghan Markle’s, you know its going to be good!
Crowned as Britain’s no.1 best selling mascara with one selling every 21 seconds in the UK, trust me when I say this mascara is just perfect. It lengthens, curls, defines and gives you the most fluttery lashes you never knew you had!

4. Tinted Lip Balm
Dior – Lip Glow
If I had to pick one makeup product that I couldn’t live without, it would hands down be Dior Addict’s Lip Glow.
I’ve used this lip balm for as long as I can remember and am forever raving about it to anyone and everyone as a MUST have makeup bag essential.
This, my friends isn’t just any ordinary lip balm, its a lip reviving balm. This means that upon application, it literally transforms your lip colour by enhancing and bringing out your natural lip undertone. It now comes in slightly tinted shades too (my favourites are raspberry (007) and berry (006)).
I often just pile this on on its own but if I’m wearing a lip colour, I’ll go over it with some Lip Glow and instead of topping up my lip colour throughout the day, I just apply some more Lip Glow to enhance and revive the colour again.
It also keeps my lips feeling so soft and moisturised throughout the day (due to its concentration of mango butter) and if I use it before bed, my lips are still super soft and nourished the next morning!

A few extras for when I’m feeling extra…
5. Lip Colour
Mac Lip Liner – Soar
So in all honesty, I came to learn about this lip liner shade when it went viral after Kylie Jenner announced that it was her favourite go-to lip colour. After months of it being out of stock everywhere, I finally managed to get my hands on it to see what all the hype was about and I’m so glad I did!
This is the most beautiful taupe/pinky/brown shade you will find and its just the perfect everyday shade. I love the creaminess of the pencil and rather than just lining my lips, I use it as an all over colour on my lips. It does now come in a lipstick too.
Available at lookfantastic.com
I’ve also recently discovered an incredible dupe for Mac’s Soar Lip Liner which is NYX Professional Makeup Lip Liner Pencil – Ever.
Benefit – Hoola Bronzer
If you haven’t heard of the infamous Hoola bronzer, you’ve been living under a rock. This bronzer is matte and is the perfect shade for powder contouring (and very buildable too). It comes with a straight edged brush so you can create a smooth sharp contour which is exactly what I do on my cheekbones and then blend it in to make it look less harsh.
I’ll also occasionally contour my nose by using the same method down the bridge of my nose on each side to create a slimmer illusion.
